When Earth is deficient or in excess, the classical sources describe a small set of supportive practices drawn from Chinese medicine, qigong, and traditional environmental design. These are general principles, not prescriptions, a trained practitioner would tailor them to the full chart.

• Hold the center of the home clear. In Compass School practice the central palace (中宮 Zhōng Gōng) is Earth's own ground, and clutter there is the phase's commonest weakness.
